About Us

The History of Curafilms LLC.

Wilfredo Aqueron is one of the founders of Curafilms and serves as the company’s lead film producer. With a diverse background that spans 18 years as a US ARMY Logistics NCO in the military, formal training at the Colorado Film School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing, Wilfredo brings a unique blend of experience and expertise to his work.

An award-winning screenwriter, director, and producer, Wilfredo has garnered more than 18 international and domestic awards for his contributions to the film industry. From 2017 to 2019, he also served as a film production educator with FFP (Florida Film Producers), an organization he founded himself.

Wilfredo’s journey as a brain cancer patient since 2008, diagnosed with a Diffuse Pontine Glioma, a terminal condition, has been the driving force behind his mission to create healthcare-related films. Despite beating the odds against this grave diagnosis, he witnessed firsthand the profound impact of accessible information on patients and their loved ones, affecting not only their emotional well-being but also their ability to make informed decisions about their care.

Driven by a passion for empowering others through knowledge, Wilfredo and the Curafilms team are committed to creating high-quality, informative content that bridges the gap between the medical community and the general public. By providing accurate and engaging healthcare information, they aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those navigating complex medical situations.
